SHC Audiology works in partnership with the NHS, providing extra support and capacity in the delivery of high quality Audiology services which are easily accessible to the local community.
SHC Audiology is currently operating in Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire. The company has a contract for the provision of assessment for age-related hearing loss, fitting of hearing aids, hearing aid aftercare for NHS patients and supporting consultant-led ENT clinics in some areas. Our objective is to provide excellent clinical care to all patients.
SHC Audiology is dedicated to upholding the highest possible professional and ethical standards. This is achieved by a team of highly trained audiologists using state of the art equipment who are committed to a rigorous annual programme of continuous training and development. We have developed a robust clinical governance framework which includes regular audit of infection control, patient and staff safety, risk management, awareness of and adherence to clinical and company policies and procedures. We are regulated and registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We have also been granted accreditation by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) as required by IQIPS Standard. UKAS has been licensed by The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) to manage and deliver IQIPS which is a professionally-led assessment and accreditation programme designed to ensure best practice, continuing service improvement, care and safety for patients undergoing diagnostic tests, examinations and procedures. IQIPS is the only nationally recognised accreditation scheme available for Audiology Services in the UK and we are delighted to be one of the few accredited providers in the country. The company is working within the National Good Practice Guide in relation to the treatment, this means not only will patients receive the best quality healthcare; they will also be able to access on-going aftercare and re-assessments every 3 years.
All SHC Audiology employees have the appropriate qualifications and experience to undertake the work for which they are employed. All Healthcare Professionals are registered with and regulated by the appropriate governing body, such as Registered Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) and the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). All SHC Audiology employees have been given relevant training and clear guidelines of expectations, so that they can deliver excellent care and services for patients and customers.
